A light copyedit is the final stage of editing before sending a manuscript for review or publication and is less thorough than a regular copyedit.

A light copyedit addresses the following:

  • Grammar
  • Punctuation
  • Spelling
  • Egregious errors and typos

Add-Ons:

  • Formatting for a dissertation/thesis according to graduate school guidelines
  • Formatting a journal article for submission to a specific journal
  • Ensuring citations adhere to a style guide (CMOS, MLA, or APA)

The edited manuscript will be returned with editing suggestions and comments visible via Track Changes in MS Word or Google Docs.
